On June 7th Ben, his parents, Nagypapa and Nagymama went to the D.C. Zoo on one of the hottest weekends of the year. We arrived early to try and beat the heat so we could enjoy as much of the zoo as possible before we had to leave due to the heat wave (it was suppose to be 100 degrees later that afternoon). It was a fantastic trip and Ben really enjoyed looking at the animals. He was probably a bit confused since the only animals he has ever seen were dogs, but when he wasn't napping he was certainly checking them out. Nagymama and Nagypapa were real troopers during this event as Nagypapa was pushing the stroller up the steep hills of the zoo most of the time. Nagypapa made sure that whenever a animal came close to the front of the cage or viewing area that Ben was the first one to get to the prime location. It was a great but exhausting day!
