Ben's First Halloween Party

This past weekend was Ben's first Halloween party at Brian Uri's house. The whole family dressed up for the occasion. Ben was a bear. Mom was a little girl (with her bear) and Dad was a hockey player. We all had a fantastic time as there was good company and yummy treats.

The Goldlust Family

Ben had a terrific time looking at everyone and all the decorations and probably was wondering what the heck was going on. His little girlfriends were there as well. Ella was a little sheep (her Mommy was Bo-Beep and her Daddy was a wolf). Julie was a little cute cow and her parents were cowboys.

Busy Weekend

Ben had a busy weekend this past week. We had the first poker game at our house since he was born in celebration of just being with friends and for his Dad's 26th birthday. Everyone had a blast and it turns out that Anna represented the girls very well as she won the entire pot against all those "hard core" players. Later in the night we set off some illegal fireworks to our neighbors dismay and it was great hearing Katie scream from the large noise of the explosion.

Saturday, the family celebrated James's birthday on the actual day with his Mom and boyfriend Rick (or is it Rico I am not sure). Later that night, we went to a very festive Mexican party at the Mansfield's house and enjoyed some good Mexican food.

Sunday was a blur from going to church, to my favorite pizzeria Tony's in Fair Lakes, watching the Redskins game and then eating at my parents house. The weekend went too fast but we had a great time!

Lets Play Catch Up (since I didn't have this idea sooner)

Benjamin Michael Goldlust was born on July 8, 2007 at 1:40PM weighing 6lbs 5oz. His Daddy was wonderful in helping his Mom with the support through the whole delivery with words of encouragement and counting down for the pushes. In all the labor was only 6 hours long so I was a blessed with not having to be in full labor for too long. He made his presence certainly known by trying to pee on the nursery nurse and his Dad as soon as they put him on the warming table to get his vitals.

Right before I gave birth (looking a bit tired)

Ben getting to know Nagypapa (this picture makes me tear up)

Ben saying "privet" to his Grandma

He is an absolute delight to his parents lives as he is such sweet and well mannered baby. He loves to look at everything and has the sweetest smile that goes from ear to ear.

Now you can see how fast babies really grow!

My Pumpkin's Day at the Pumpkin Patch

Ben had his first countryside outing at the Hollin Farm Pumpkin Patch a few weeks back. Together he met up with his little man friend and girlfriends with their Mommies and Daddies. After we all gathered the "best" pumpkins we headed back to Reid and Teressa's house (as they rule the house their parents just pay for the mortgage) to eat and enjoy each other's company. It was a beautiful day filled with lots of fun and laughter but it sure wore out all the kiddos.
