Ben is 6 Months!

Ben is getting bigger and bigger everyday! It is amazing how fast babies grow and you truly don't understand it until you are a parent, or you're close to a family with a child. Ben is almost seven months old, so I had to post real quick about his milestones and photos before this month is up! His six month birthday was January 8th, so I am way behind!

Ben is currently six months old. He is more active then ever. He loves reaching for things, like my food or the doggies fur. He is very observant of everything around him and in all he is just a happy baby. He has had colds on and off this month, but with him being in day care, that is just a given. He loves to stand (with help), giggle at people sneezing or his penguin puppet, and can sit by himself for ten seconds at a time. His favorite toy by far is his Einstein activity jumper. He now eats stage 2 baby foods and just loves sweet potatoes and sweet peas. There are no teeth to date, but with the amount of drool coming out of his mouth, I am thinking a little tooth will pop out any day now. At Ben's 6 month doctor's appointment he was 17lbs 11oz and 27 inches tall. I believe he is in the 50th to 75th percentile for both. Ben also loves watching the Caps on television. Maybe one day he will be putting Ovechkin to shame. Who knows what the future has in store.

Here are some photos as of this month:

Everyone Says Ben looks like one or the other, but this "Look-A-Like Meter" solved the question!

New Years 2008

This was Ben's first New Years. Mom and Dad decided they wanted to play it low key this year and just spend time with their friends. Anna and Ben (little Ben's godparents) invited us over to hang out in comfy clothes and play games. Ben and Ella started the night by checking out the other baby in what she or he may be doing and what they have. At one point Ella thought Ben's pacifier was mighty interesting and decided to "borrow" it for a little while. Ben was a perfect little gentleman and let her have it for a little while. After the babies had played with every toy in the family room, Ella was sacked out and ready for bed. Ben apparently wasn't quite ready yet. After hysterically laughing at his Godmother's crazy facial expressions, tickles and pretend sneezing, he finally conked out. It was a really great way to bring in the New Year!

Happy New Year my sweet little boy!
